Although the air is filled with unsure eyes in the Miami real estate condo market, there are still some people who consider Miami is the condo hot spot in the nation. The sunshine in Miami Beach was as blistering as every time I passed through the area it is always special. It was only a year since I last visited but beneath the belly of the city something had subtly, almost imperceptibly, changed. When you go to Miami you’ll see that the beach was still full of holidaymakers sweltering in the sun, but by my reckoning it was less packed, as were the shops along the art deco streets.

While the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington, D.C., could not be reasonably foreseen until after the fact, despite the existence of credible intelligence, the devastation that a major hurricane like Katrina could cause to New Orleans was known. With better planning, enhanced building codes, building code training and enforcement, an organized evacuation plan, and reasonable funding for levee repairs and reinforcement, the New Orleans damage (at least $31 billion) and death toll (1577) could have been lower. In a way, New Orleans was fortunate that Katrina veered slightly sparing the City a direct hit and had weakened just before making landfall. Although there can be no certainty on how much damage might have been avoided, the existence and activation of a cohesive mandatory evacuation plan when Hurricane Katrina, at the time a dangerous Category 5 storm, was bearing down on the City could have significantly reduced the loss of life

This is a substantial sign that consumer confidence has reached a turning point and that the real estate market in Miami is about to rebound. Okay what I mean is that all my local news channels claim that they are the most watched or the number 1 news stations in my area, I live in L.A and all of them have commercials saying that they are the most watched, and I lived in Miami for a few months and saw the same thing, claims from multiple local news that they were the most watched? do other cities do the same thing where you live? and is this pretty much bending the truth a little just to get more viewers?
